Yesterday was a delightful success! The sun was shining, the breeze was refreshing, the food was plentiful, the wine flowed freely and gardens looked lovely.
The bride was so pleased and felt that we went to far too much trouble, but as I explained to her, nothing is too much trouble when it’s for a friend, it’s only when you don’t WANT to do something that it’s too much trouble! What I was disappointed in were a number of her friends who RSVP’d and just didn’t show….it was very disheartening. But, we still had a great time, she was fussed over, we lavished her with attention, we continued with all thing traditional for a shower including the silly but enjoyable games, and that’s what counted the most… 
The bride was happy.
In the end, it was her closest and dearest circle of friends that were there, and that says a lot.
Glad you had a good time. That is annoying. That happened at my shower. Either people didn’t show up or they showed up really late. As long as the guest of honor loved it that’s all that matters.
